Genelec SE™ 'Small Environment' DSP Systems – Digital PowerPak
The Genelec SE™ System is the result of continued development of our DSP technologies and offers the power of AutoCal™ and Genelec DSP in a smaller package suitable for room sizes up to 3000 cu. ft. While the larger Genelec DSP systems using GLM™ software provided DSP resources in every loudspeaker and subwoofer, the SE™ System uses a core dsp approach by combining the new 10” Active DSP subwoofer model SE7261A with the digital input 8130A bi-amp monitor. With all necessary DSP power inside the SE7261A subwoofer, users will simply connect the sub’s AES digital outputs to the digital inputs on the 8130A and enjoy a single network connection to the SE7261A subwoofer, greatly simplifying setup while AutoCal™ acoustically optimizes all eight channel in the entire system with the familiar GLM.SE™ software interface. Because the 8130As are not part of the system network, all existing Room Response Control DIP switches are active and able to be employed to further improve in-room system response, adding the flexible digital filters, time of flight delay and gain compensation provided by the SE7261A and AutoCal™
.
Up to eight 8130A monitors may be connected to the SE7261A subwoofer, providing flexibility for stereo, 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 surround monitoring formats. Two different system packages are available for ease of specification, including the SE™ Digital PowerPak (shown above) for 5.1 applications, and the SE™ Digital TriplePlay for stereo use. Each Digital PowerPak system includes the SE7261A DSP subwoofer and five 8130A digital input bi-amp monitors, plus the GLM.SE™ software package, which includes the Genelec Network Interface Device (NID) and calibration microphone.
Finally, professionals who work in smaller and often troublesome acoustic environments, can benefit from the outstanding improvement in sound reproduction and monitoring confidence for one or more listening positions with a Genelec SE System featuring the easy to use GLM.SE™ software (available for PC now and by first quarter 2009 on Mac platforms).
