Dave Bryson, producer/engineer and guitarist for the Counting Crows as well as a longtime Genelec user, recently upgraded the monitoring in his home studio to feature a pair of Genelec 8240A Bi-Amplified Active DSP Monitors.

Like many producers these days, Bryson decided that the convenience of a home studio was preferable, despite its sonic drawbacks. "Immediately the 8240A just blew my mind", he stated.

At the 51st Annual Grammy® Awards Show, telecast on CBS from L.A.’s Staples Center on the evening of Sunday, February 8th, XM Productions/Effanel Music employed Genelec 8200 Series Active DSP Monitoring Systems. Genelec DSP systems consisting of 8250A and 8240A active monitors, along with the 7260A subwoofer, were used in XM Productions/Effanel Music’s L7 truck for the live music mix, as well as in the mirrored system in the Nova offline remix booth.

The winners of the Fennia Prize 2009 competition were announced yesterday 19.2.2009 in an awards ceremony held at the Finlandia Hall in Helsinki. The Fennia Prize 2009 Grand Prix was given to Genelec Oy for the design of the Genelec 5040A active subwoofer.
